The lecture "Brazilian myths, fairy tales and legends" at the Festival of Latin American and Caribbean Culture
Every year, the Library of Foreign Literature in Moscow, together with the Moscow Government and the embassies of Latin American and Caribbean countries, organizes a Festival of Latin American Culture. By tradition, RGGU professors and students take part in it. This year, throughout the entire program of the festival and until mid-September, the library exhibits creative works of folklore project (lecturer, assoc. prof. Tatiana Borisova) done by the students of the Art Design Training Center (Director, assoc. prof. G. Volkova).

Student Internship at the International Russian-Brazilian Center
In June 2026, fifteen RSUH students completed an internship at the International Center under the guidance of the Center's Director, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Lyudmila Ivanovna Baturina. The number of student interns joining the Center has been growing year after year. This is due to the diversity of tasks, new information gained, and interest in Latin America in general.

The International Russian-Brazilian Center organized a folklore festival "Saint John's Day" for the university's administrative staff.
On the day of the solstic Brazil widely celebratу the popular saints John, Peter, and Paul/ This festivity is known as "Saint John's Day." The roots of this ancient holiday lie in pagan traditions, later known as "Ivan Kupala Day" in Russia with the advent of Christianity.

The International Russian-Brazilian Center celebrated World Portuguese Language Day (May 5).
May 5 marks World Portuguese Language Day, established by UNESCO in 2020. More than 265 million people speak the Portuguese language across five continents – from Europe to South America, from Africa to Asia. This makes it the sixth most widely spoken language and the second most spoken among the Romance languages.

Participation of Brazilian Scholars in RGGU Humanitarian Readings – 2026
In April, the Russian State University for the Humanities launched the "RGGU Humanitarian Readings – 2026." Special mention should be made of the interest in this important scientific event shown by scholars from Brazil, who participated in the readings at the invitation of the Director of the International Russian-Brazilian Center, Associate Professor L.I. Baturina.

Creative works by RSUH students were enthusiastically received at the NICHO festival in Brazil.
The International Russian-Brazilian Center, together with the «Art-Design» Educational Center under the direction of G.I. Volkova, submitted creative works by students of Galina Ivanovna Kobzeva to the NICHO audiovisual creativity festival in Brazil.

The RSUH Russian-Brazilian Centre joined the celebration of the International Mother Language Day, February 21. This day reminds us of the importance of preserving linguistic heritage and respecting the cultures of different peoples.
