The Brazilian creative organization NICHO 54, which defends the right of the Black community to full access to creation, dignified work, and participation in the country's cultural and economic development, annually promotes the Audiovisual Creativity Festival.
The participants of Festival 2025 are exclusively Black women, reaffirming the organization's commitment to promoting gender and racial equity in film production. In this edition, artistic director Fernanda Lomba sought to position the Black woman's perspective as a creative and analytical force in national cinema. The authors present their own excerpts and perspectives that reveal the plurality of Black women in the construction of imaginaries and narratives in audiovisual media.
You are invited to watch the animated and live-action short films made with a lot of imagination and love. Let's support the creative teams of Brazil!
