The topic "India's domestic oil and gas production" was discussed during the student research seminar at the Russian State University for the Humanities (RUSH).
Professor Alexander Stolyarov discussed with the Russian students India's active search for new deposits to increase domestic production, including in oil sands and shale deposits.
Lyubov Likhacheva, a fourth-year student, conducted a survey of oil fields in the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Assam. According to her data, the average annual growth rate of the Indian oil and gas market from 2020 to 2025 will be over 2.4%.
Elena Shah, a third-year student at the Institute of Linguistics, delivered a presentation on the development of natural gas distribution infrastructure, specifically the construction of the Kandla-Gorakhpur gas pipeline, which will be the world's longest liquefied petroleum gas pipeline.
The seminar is held monthly and aims to develop professional competencies among students studying Asian studies.
