The Conference was held by the Department of Foreign Languages of the Institute of History and Archives, with the list of participants also containing teachers from Moscow State Linguistic University, Senkevitch Institute, School of Philosophy of the HSE, and some foreign experts.
The central topics focused around teaching major-specific foreign language with a competence-based approach, assisted, among other things, by interactive aids.
The Conference formulated five competences necessary for mastery of a major-specific foreign language.
