RSUH and Indian Banasthali Vidyapith (Rajasthan) signed a MOU
Moscow, August 27, 2026 — A meeting between representatives of the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH) and a delegation from Banasthali Vidyapith (Rajasthan, India) took place at the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH).
The delegation arrived to finalize and sign a memorandum of understanding and discuss the details of future cooperation.
The Russian delegation included Acting Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Prof. Vera I. Zabotkina and Indira Gazieva, member of the International Center for South Asian Studies.
The Indian delegation was represented by:
Professor Anshuman Shastri, Director of the University and Head of the Department of Physical Sciences
Professor Shalini Chandra
Dr. Shrishti Shastri
Dr. Manish Ranjan.
This visit cements the eighteen-month partnership between the universities. During this time, RSUH and Banasthali Vidyapith organized joint online literary festivals with RSUH and Banasthali students and presented papers on cultural and spiritual values topics and recitation of Indian poetry.
Following the informal meeting, the following agreements were reached:
• a Memorandum of understanding was signed;
• Details of an academic exchange program for students from both universities were agreed upon;
• A series of joint international conferences were planned for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Banasthali Vidyapeeth (Rajasthan, India) is one of the largest and oldest centers for women's education, selected as the venue for India's BRICS Presidency. From November 19 to 23, 2026, the first in-person module of the international educational program “Woman Leader. BRICS” will be held there.
The program is being implemented by the “Senezh” Management Workshop in collaboration with Banasthali Vidyapeeth and the BRICS Youth Alliance. The goal of the initiative is to build sustainable horizontal ties between women leaders from friendly countries and launch joint social, educational, and entrepreneurial projects within the BRICS region.
