An exhibition of the RSUH students was held at the Russian House in New Delhi
As part of the Second Russian-Indian Youth Forum, an exhibition of works by students from the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH) opened at the Russian House in New Delhi. The exhibition commemorates the 150th anniversary of India's national song, "Vande Mataram" ("I bow before you, Motherland!"), which is equal in status to the country's national anthem, "Jana Gana Mana."
This is not the first exhibition by RSUH students to be held at the Russian House. In 2024, students displayed their works dedicated to the 155th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's birth. The exhibition, organized as part of an international conference, became a significant cultural event, attracting the attention of the Indian public and students from local universities.
The song "Vande Mataram" has inspired generations of Indians for many years, helping to strengthen unity, cohesion, and national identity. On April 24, 2026, the Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Center, together with the Russian State University for the Humanities, organized an India Day celebration at the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH), marking the 150th anniversary of the song "Vande Mataram." The event was attended by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy of India in Russia, and Dr Elena Remizova, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India.
During the event, Dr. Elena Remizova proposed continuing the exhibition at the Russian House, which is regularly visited by faculty and students from various universities, business representatives, politicians, artists, and cultural figures interested in the Russian language and culture.
