Russian State University for the Humanities
The "India Day" cultural festival took place on March 24, 2026, and was organized by the RSUH Hindi group students, the Museum Center, and the Department of Youth Affairs. An exhibition by artist Shanti Kushwaha was held as part of the festival.
The welcoming speech was delivered by:
Prof. Vera Zabotkina, Acting Vice-Rector for International Cooperation.
Mr. Nikhilesh Giri, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India in Russia, praised the artist's work and noted "the significance of the cultural dialogue between Russia and India, the fruit of which are Shanti Kushwaha's paintings."
Dr. Irina Bakanova, Director of the Museum Center at the Russian State University for the Humanities, called the exhibition "an Indian song of the Russian soul".
Following the official part of the event, a tour of the exhibition took place. Shanti Kushwaha led visitors through the exhibition, explaining the creation of oil and watercolor paintings.

The RSUH Academic Vocal Studio (directed by Olga Rudakova).
Miss Sunadita Nipa performed Indian songs accompanied by a harmonium. A 2hd year student Elizaveta Gareeva recited a poem by the great poet Mirza Ghalib in Urdu.
The guests were able to learn about the art of mehndi demonstrated by Russian students, received symbolic scrolls of happiness, and tasted traditional Indian cuisine.
At the end of event all participants and guests took a group photo.
