"Translation Discourse: Synthesis of Science and Practice"

The event is designed to immerse Indian students learning Russian into the rich tapestry of Russian literature, culture, and history by introducing them to masterpieces from both classical and modern Russian authors translated into various Indian and global languages.
Event format: An open dialogue among students, professors, and professional translators aimed at exchanging views on challenges faced while learning foreign languages, exploring diverse viewpoints, and collectively addressing practical issues within the field of translation and its linguistic discourse.
Students from the School of English Language Studies will deliver a series of poetry readings featuring works by renowned international poets alongside translations of classic and contemporary Russian verse into multiple languages. Additionally, representatives from the Russian State University for the Humanities and the A.S. Pushkin Institute of Russian Language based at the Russian House in New Delhi will award participants with commemorative gifts and specialized publications covering Russian language studies, cultural heritage, historical context, and artistic traditions.
