International poetry online Festival “Recitation of Sergey Yesenin poems in different languages” dedicated to the 130th anniversary of Great Russian poet was held October 4 2025
This was a joint project of 4 universities and Russian Language Department of the Russian Center for Science and Culture (Mumbai, India):
Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH, Moscow),
Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (Vadodara, Gujarat, India): Department of Russian Studies, Faculty of Arts
University of Kerala: Department of Russian Language
Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University Agra University: Department of Russian Language.
30 students from these universities recited the poems of Sergey Yesenin in different languages.
It was very pleasant to hear the translation of Yesenin's poem "Here's to you, Russ, my beloved" in Malayalam (students of the University of Kerala), Marathi and Gujarati (students of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda).
RSUH Hindi group students Alina Zviagintseva, Elena Shakh, Varvara Sherbakova, Anastasiya Shitikova, Margarita Ermaluik and Anastasiya Burda recited Sergey Yesenin's poems in Hindi and Russian languages.
