"A meeting of civilizations: Russian and Indian traditions" was discussed by students from the Russian State University for the Humanities and students from the Rabindranath Tagore Hindi-Language School in St. Petersburg.

"A meeting of civilizations: Russian and Indian traditions" was discussed by students from the Russian State University for the Humanities and students from the Rabindranath Tagore Hindi-Language School in St. Petersburg.

Russia and India share similar values, such as the spiritual aspects of life and the preservation of cultural diversity, despite differences in religious traditions. Students from the Russian State University for the Humanities and the Rabindranath Tagore School in St. Petersburg presented their papers:

1. Evgeniya Selezneva and Alexandra Chernosvitova, 11th-grade students, presented a report on the topic - "Film Adaptations of Rabindranath Tagore's Works in World Cinema."

2. Lyubov Nikitina, 11th-grade student, spoke about the correspondence between two 20th-century thinkers – Mahatma Gandhi and Leo Tolstoy.

3. Varvara Shcherbakova, a third-year student of the RSUH spoke about the linguistic features of Afanasy Nikitin's travel notes, "Journey Beyond Three Seas."

4. Elena Shakh, a third-year student of the RSUH presented a paper on the works of Nicholas and Helena Roerich and their sons – Svyatoslav and Yuri.

5. Anastasia Shitikova, a third-year student, demonstrated the similarities and differences between Indian and Russian ornamentation.

6. Margarita Yermalyuk, third-year student, spoke about the influence of Russian literature on Hindi literature.

7. Alina Zvyagintseva, third-year student, informed the participants about the similarities and differences between Indian and Russian architecture.

8. Anastasia Burda, third-year student, explained why Sanskrit is considered the predecessor of many contemporary South Asian languages?
