On 2-7 June 2025 RSUH Hindi group students attended a course of lectures delivered by Prof. Satya Pal Sharma, Hindi teacher from the Banaras Hindu University and Dr. Neeraj Dhankhar, teacher of Russian from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth University who were invited by the International Centre for South Asian studies of the RSUH for weekly workshop and round-table discussion on Hindi Training for Russian students who are learning Hindi language on the “Linguistics” profile.
The event was organized by the Department of International Cooperation of the RSUH. Indian professors came to our university to meet students studying Hindi.
For two years, RSUH has been organizing online literary festivals with the participation of students from Russia and different countries, who recite poems or read excerpts from the works of Russian classics, modern writers and poets in different languages of the world.
During two years students from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth University have been participating online poetry festivals organizing by the RSUH.
Having met with Russian students studying Hindi at the Institute of Linguistics, Dr. Neeraj Dhankhar spoke about the interest in the Russian language among Indian students and her experience of translating works of contemporary Russian writers from Russian into Hindi.
Prof. Satya Pal Sharma, a Hindi teacher from the Banaras Hindu University, delivered six lectures about the features of Hindi grammar; the features of a modern short story in Hindi using modern Hindi literature as example. The students recited poems of Srimati Mahadevi Varma, one of the most famous and talented Indian poets of the 20th century.
Indian professors were delighted with the quality of the linguistic students' training and invited them to visit Varanasi.
