  • Born in 1952 in Moscow.
  • 1975 - graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University.
  • Not being a member of the Komsomol, started teaching and conducting research only in 1991.

Academic and educational activity

  • 1969-1991 - taught mathematics at Moscow schools 2, 7, 57 (semi-officially).
  • 1995-1997 - introduced computer technologies for teaching geometry (school 45).
  • 1991 to present - conducts the research seminar "Graphs on surfaces and curves over number fields” at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University.
  • 1991 to present – reads lecture in domestic and international Summer Math Schools.
  • 2009 to present - teaches evening courses at the Steklov Research and Education Center and at the Independent University.
  • 2014 to present - part-time work at the Department of Geometry of Moscow State Pedagogical University.
  • 1990 to present - works at RSUH.

Area of expertise

Algebraic geometry, complex analysis, non-Archimedean dynamics, language of mathematics, issues of comprehension in teaching, correlation of digital and traditional methods in pedagogy.
