Background

  • Born in 1982, in Moscow.
  • 2004 - graduated from the Faculty of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of RSUH,
  • 2006 - defended the dissertation "Typology of Two-Case Systems",
  • Since 2005 - works at the Department of Typology and Comparative Linguistics of the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences,
  • Since 2008 - teaches at the Institute of Linguistics of RSUH.

Member of the European Linguistic Society and the Association of Linguistic Typology. Since 2010 (with Dr. Lander) - in charge of joint expeditions of RSUH and the Higher School of Economics to study Western Caucasian languages. Author of more than 180 publications in Russia and abroad.

Academic and educational activity

2008 - 2013 - taught the courses "Case and case systems in world languages", "Lithuanian language in typology", "Tense and aspect in world languages", "Typology of the means of expression of actant structure", "Linguistics of language contacts".

Since 2015 - teaches “General morphology” and “Morphological typology” (undergraduate track), “Typology, comparative and areal linguistics”, “Typology of grammatical categories” (graduate track).

Area of expertise

Linguistic typology, areal linguistics, language contacts, case systems, categories of tense and aspect, Baltic languages, West Caucasian languages.
