Domestic theater and film studies have rich traditions. However, this program supplements and continues them, taking into account the current state of the mass media, the advent of the Internet, and the rapid development of modern information technologies.
An important component of both theoretical and practical training of future theater and film experts is a special attention paid to interpretation of cultural texts, which involves decoding the author's or the national language and worldview while preserving the set of associations, connotative meanings and concepts inherent in each national mentality.
