The program is aimed at mastering the history and the main types of archiving in connection with the development of (primarily) Russian history and the field of document management; students study the specifics of working with archives of various profiles, organizing storage on various media, and learn the issues and the trends underlying the archival industry.

Areas of occupation: state executive bodies related to archiving, state and municipal archives, archives of the Russian Academy of Sciences and its branches, manuscript departments of museums and libraries, the media, public organizations, research institutes, expert and analytical centers, educational organizations and other organizations of various legal status.
