This course examines the relationship between culture and systems of modern communications in the media space. The course is built upon research of semiotics, hermeneutics and case studies relevant for students. Culture exists, evolves, and is passed on and is studied through a widespread system of symbols and symbolic system, including through communications. For a person to master such systems means inclusion in relations with other people and into culture itself. Within the course students are offered to learn to read into cultural codes and archetypes of modern cultural space, mass media, social networks, and advertising.
