The course is devoted to the essential differences between Russian and English grammatical systems respectively. It introduces students to the basic categories and notions of typology, the notion of the language type among them. The course sums up the knowledge about English morphology , syntax and vocabulary students acquires in the course of four years of studies at the university and helps them understand the basic typological characteristics of the English language as compared to Russian.
