Management of data and information in computer networks

The avalanche-like growing volume of data (including those related to the increase in the capacity of computer networks) generated in all areas of society is an important civilizational challenge. The modern IT industry is responding to this challenge by raising the Big Data issue, while the academic community is shaping Data Science. Modern business and the information society as a whole cannot develop without the collective knowledge accumulated in information systems and computer networks for various purposes.

The program is aimed at training highly qualified professionals in the field of applied informatics, capable of forming collective knowledge, managing it and ensuring security of computer networks in order to support the continuity of modern business and information communications.

Areas of professional occupation:

  • communications, information and communication technologies (in the field of design, development, implementation and operation of information systems, their life cycle management);
  • general types of professional activity in the industry (management of research and development in the field of computer science and computer technology);
  • other areas of professional activity, provided that the acquired competencies meet the qualification requirements.

Key disciplines of the program are the theory of information processes and systems, knowledge management technologies in organizations, methods and tools for analyzing Big Data in computer networks, distributed registry systems, cloud technologies, use of neurocomputers in intelligent systems.
