Vice-Rector Pavlenko spoke about the assessment of the quality of education in the era of digitalization

On June 29, Urait.Academy hosted a panel discussion on the topic “Competence Audit: Objective Diagnostics, Assessment and Certification of Knowledge in the Digital Age”, at which the First Vice-Rector Pavlenko shared her vision of assessing the quality of education in the context of digitalization

The expert believes that digital assessment of students' knowledge is objective, however, it is undesirable to build the entire education system on electronic platforms, since the value of live communication between the student and the teacher would be lost: “Now the assessment tools of education are focused on digital tools. Currently, we are talking about the fact that the digitalization trend has penetrated so deeply that digital testing is automatically incorporated into the training programs. Because of this, the “unique human ability” is excluded, that is, the human contact between teacher and student, on which traditional teaching has always rested.

The expert concluded that modern universities are to expect a struggle for the status and the right to provide high-quality higher education.
