In 2025, RSUH Admissions Committee recorded an unprecedented increase in applications from participants of the Special Military Operation (SMO) and their children.
The total number of applications from these categories reached 17,314, a 401% increase (five times) compared to 2024, when 3,455 applications were submitted. Applicants could compete not only for the quota-based places but also in the general competition for state-funded and paid spots across all RSUH programs.
The main contribution to this growth came from children of SMO participants — 16,951 applications, a 399% increase from last year. Of these, 1,001 applications were submitted under the separate quota (an increase of 228%).
The SMO participants themselves also showed significantly higher interest in RSUH: they submitted 363 applications — a 536% increase compared to 57 applications last year, including 138 applications for quota-based places, a growth of 430.7%.
Overall, the total number of applications under the separate quota from both categories nearly quadrupled: from 322 in 2024 to 1,139 in 2025 (an increase of 253.7%).
These figures demonstrate high trust in RSUH and the demand for its educational programs among SMO participants and their families. The university ensures careful and objective consideration of all applications within the established deadlines.
