A ceremony was held to award Professor Wang Zhihua of the China University of Political Science and Law the title Doctor of RSUH Gonoris Causa.
On December 9, RSUH held a solemn ceremony presenting the robe and diploma of Doctor Honoris Causa of RSUH to Professor Wang Zhihua, Professor at the China University of Political Science and Law, and Secretary General of the Chinese Association of Comparative Law Union. The decision to award this honorary title was unanimously adopted by the Academic Council of the RSUH.
Professor Wang Zhihua delivered a lecture on the development of Chinese and Russian legal systems within the context of digital transformation. He paid special attention to the current stage of development of China’s legal system, which, he noted, was shaped by multiple legal traditions and exhibited a hybrid nature. A separate part of the lecture addressed digital law as a new interdisciplinary sphere of regulation. He emphasized that globalization and localization of digital norms occurred simultaneously, making international cooperation in this field a necessity.
