The International Futurological Forum at RSUH brought together leading experts in the development of non-profit organizations and representatives of BRICS+ and CIS universities

The event was dedicated to the joint development of a strategy for the future based on respect for the values of each civilization, relying on educational and non-profit projects and technologies.

The event was attended by more than 180 people, who were representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, experts, scholars, representatives of universities, NGOs, BRICS countries (Brazil, India, China and South Africa), as well as CIS countries.

The following speakers spoke at the opening of the forum: Valery Fadeev, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights; Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation; Alexander Chubaryan, Academic Director of the Institute of General History of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Olga Pavlenko, First Vice-Rector of RSUH, Vera Zabotkina, Acting. Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of RSUH; Alexey Pishchulin, Director of the Federal Center for Humanitarian Practices; Alexander Burenkov Head of the Danilevsky Institute; Kirill Kostin, Director of the Center for Consulting NGOs and NGOs “Diplomacy of Knowledge” of RSUH.

In her speech, Dr. Pavlenko noted the positions that the NGOs, intellectual communities and universities should pay special attention to. Valery Fadeev expressed the idea that changes in the world are inevitable. Konstantin Mogilevsky emphasized the importance of network program tools. Alexander Chubaryan addressed the Forum participants with a presentation on the role of scientific diplomacy and its significance at the modern historical stage. Alexey Pishchulin paid special attention to preserving the system of identity of peoples and suggested focusing on a clearer interpretation of the values that unite us.

Kirill Kostin spoke about the launch in 2024 of the first online master’s program “Smart Civilization” to train specialists in the field of NGOs and in Russia and abroad. Vera Zabotkina recalled that in a situation of unprecedented growth of geopolitical risks, the existing architecture of international relations must change towards a multipolar world.

On the first day of the Forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the RSUH and TV BRICS. Zhanna Tolstikova, General Director of the international TV BRICS network, spoke about the goals of integrating universities of the BRICS+ countries into a single media space.

During the plenary sessions on December 11 and 12, Russian experts, as well as representatives of NGOs and universities from India, China, Brazil, South Africa and the CIS countries, made presentations. They spoke about international cooperation between institutions, opportunities for exchange of experience and cooperation, and the role of the media in the dialogue of values. All participants were unanimous in their opinion that the traditional values are key to the preservation and reproduction of identity.
