As part of a working visit to the People's Republic of China, the Director of the Institute of Law at the Russian State University for the Humanities, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation, Professor Sergey Shakhray, signed a Memorandum of Understanding and an Agreement on Student Exchange between RSUH and the China University of Political Science and Law. The documents are intended to mark a new step in strengthening humanitarian cooperation between Russia and China.
Professor Sergey Shakhray noted that Russian legal scholars had long and productively cooperated with their colleagues from the China University of Political Science and Law.
The Rector of the China University of Political Science and Law, Professor Ma Huaide, gave the Russian guests a detailed overview of the university’s recent achievements in academic development, research, personnel training, and international cooperation. He also personally expressed admiration and respect for Professor Shakhray's tireless efforts and outstanding contribution to promoting humanitarian exchange between China and Russia, as well as legal studies. The University of Political Science and Law consistently ranks among the top universities in the country in its category, holding a position in the top 10 subject rankings of Asian universities, and is among the top 40 in the world in the field of Law and Legal Studies according to QS World University Rankings. This university has made a tremendous contribution to the formation and development of legal education and science, as well as the establishment of the legal system of the People's Republic of China.
