Associate Professor Olesya Bolotayeva of the Institute of the Peoples of the North has dedicated her life to studying and preserving the Koryak language.
Her academic journey began with a personal discovery: although born in Kamchatka, she fully realized the uniqueness of her linguistic heritage only during her studies.
Today, she is not only an experienced educator but also an active researcher. Last year, she published a monograph on traditional Koryak vocabulary. In addition, she co-founded a Koryak language conversation club in St. Petersburg for children and young people.
