New online platform “History and historians of Eurasia: methodology - concept - approaches” was presented at RSUH

On December 22, at RSUH, as part of the implementation of the historical and educational project “Summer Institute”, a presentation of the online platform “History and historians of Eurasia: methodology - concept - approaches” was held

“Summer Institute” is a federal project organized on the initiative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. It was started in 2023 on behalf of and with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and the Federal State Institution "Sociocenter".

In 2023, RSUH offered an educational track within the framework of the major “History and Preservation of Historical Heritage” along the following trajectories:

  1. Digital humanities. Historian in the modern information environment.
  2. Transformation of the system of international relations and Russian foreign policy.
  3. Eurasian cooperation: historical experience of interaction in Eurasia.
  4. Preservation of the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War in the Eurasian space.
  5. History and culture of everyday life: modern trends in the study.
  6. History and archives: new trends in the development of archival science.

The event was opened by Rector Bezborodov:

“The creation of an online platform on an interdisciplinary basis on the basis of our University is a significant step for the development of the project and our entire university. I would like to express my deep gratitude to everyone who participated in its creation.”

First Vice-Rector Olga Pavlenko said:

“The development of this multimedia platform is not only the result of our post-project work, but also the beginning of a new stage of development”.

Acting Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Denis Fomin-Nilov spoke about the importance of the project for the academic communities of the CIS countries:

“KRSU is ready to support the Summer Institute in every possible way with all the personnel and infrastructure capabilities we have. We will also be happy to further cooperate within the framework of the project, since its idea is extremely significant and promising not only for the historical community, but also for the entire post-Soviet space”.

Deputy Director for Educational Activities of the Federal State Institution “Sociocenter” Lemka Izmailova, Rector of the Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University Tolobek Abdyrakhmanov, President of RSUH Efim Pivovar, also greeted the participants.

Then Olga Pavlenko and Tatyana Belyaeva,Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation, presented the online platform and talked about its sections.
