The meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the Russian Federation with the governing bodt of the University was held at RSUH
Mr. Shafkat Ali Khan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mr. Zafar Yab Khan, Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Ms. Nazia Shaikh, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan met with Rector Bezborodov, got acquainted with the University, learned about the educational programs, visited the museums, exhibition complexes and creative workshops.
Rector Bezborodov said in his welcoming speech: “We consider cooperation with universities of other countries as one of the priorities of the Russian State University for the Humanities. We have the resources to interact with universities in Pakistan in the educational field.”
Mr. Shafkat Ali Khan said: “We are happy to be in the city of science – that is what we call Moscow. We are happy to visit the heart of the humanities - that's what we call your University. The field of education is precisely the area in which a lot can be done. We know about the high level of Russian education. Unfortunately, only 250 students from Pakistan are currently studying in Russia, which is a very small number. We look forward to cooperation between our countries in the field of higher education.”
Dr. Zabotkina, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, spoke about the opportunities for international students studying at RSUH.
At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the two countries expressed their hope for fruitful and long-term cooperation.
