The event was held on October 26-27, 2023, at RSUH, organized by the Department of Archival Studies of the Institute of History and Archives jointly with the Main Archive Directorate of Moscow with the information support of TERMIKA LLC and the TELOS ARCHIVE Group of Companies
The welcoming speeches were delivered by Dr. Lanskoy, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Russian Society of Historians and Archivists, Dr. Makatova, Senior Expert of the Educational and Methodological Center of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dr. Živković, Archival Advisor at the Historical Archives of Požarevac (Serbia), Dr. Taratorkin, Dean of the Faculty of Archival and Document Science of RSUH, and Dr. Burova, Head of the Department of Archival Science, Acting Director of the Institute of History and Archives of RSUH.
At the plenary session the presentations were made by Dr. Mazur, Head of Department of Document Management, Archival Science and History of Public Administration of the Ural Federal University (“Archive and archival culture of memory”); Dr. Larina, Head of the Department of Automated Documentation Management Systems of RSUH (“On the issue of organizing archival storage of electronic documents”); Dr. Khorkhordina, Head of the Department of History and Organization of Archives of RSUH (“Samuel Muller’s Finest Hour at the International Congress of Archivists and Librarians in Brussels (1910)”; Dr. Kalmykov, managing partner of TELOS ARCHIVE (“International Congress in Abu Dhabi on modern trends in archiving”); Dr. Zabotin, General Director of Alt-soft LLC, Dr. Mersadykova, Deputy General Director of Alt-Soft LLC, Dr. Grinfeld, Deputy General Director of Alt-Soft (“Archival information systems. Integrated approach and innovation"); Dr. Lanskoy, Professor of the Department of Foreign Area Studies and Foreign Policy and the Department of Document Management, Audiovisual and Scientific and Technical Archives of RSUH (“Archival studies of phonological documents in Russia: features and development prospects”); Dr. Makatova, senior expert of the Educational and Methodological Center of the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (“Topical issues of interaction between universities and archives as a condition for high-quality training of specialists”); Dr. Latysheva, Head of the Department of Document Management and Archival Science of the Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, and Dr. Bashkova, senior lecturer at the Department of Document Management and Archival Science, Crimean Federal University (“Modern archival education in Ukraine: state, trends”); Dr. Živković, Archival Advisor at the Historical Archives of Požarevac (Serbia) (“Electronic archivist in the archival legislation of Serbia”).
The Conference hosted the following sections “Archives and History”, “Theory and methodology of archival science: evolution and relationship with related sciences and disciplines”, “Archaeographic knowledge: from scientific and archaeographic expeditions to electronic publications of documents”, “Audiovisual and scientific and technical documents: regulatory framework and practice of archival storage”, “Information technologies in archiving, archives of electronic documents: trends and problems in the development of theory and practical application”, “Organization of office work document flow: from the tasks of organizing office work in Soviet institutions to electronic document management systems".
The work of the Conference also included the student academic forum “Days of Student Science - 2023” and the student round table “Modern technologies in storing archival documents”.
The second day of the Conference took place in the robotic archival complex Mosarkhiv in the Voronovskoye settlement near the village of Sakharovo. The employees of the Main Archive and the Central State Archives of Moscow introduced the participants to the archival repository and highlighted the main areas of activity of the archival institution related to issues of accounting, use and preservation of archival documents.
