The decision to organize and hold the Conference in September 2024 at the Kuindzhi Mariupol State University was taken by the Academic Council of RSUH on January 16, 2024 following the meeting of President Putin with young scholars, which had taken place on November 29, 2023
At a meeting with Vladimir Putin, the initiative was made by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of History of RSUH Pavel Alipov. He spoke about the cooperation of RSUH with the Kuindzhi University.
The draft concept of the Conference was developed by RSUH. The steering committee will include the rectors of RSUH, Mariupol University, Kadyrov Chechen State University and Grozny State Petroleum Technical University. The program will include the following areas: determining the spiritual and moral values of the modern era, identifying the role of historical science in countering falsifications, searching for the right answers to the challenges of modern education, analyzing the issues of studying the Great Patriotic War and the Second World War, as well as solving many other pressing issues associated with new geopolitical realities.
The discussions will be attended by experts from Latin American countries, Iran, Serbia and others.
In addition, in 2024 an exhibition is planned to be held at the Knorozov Museum Center at RSUH, dedicated to the feat of the residents of Mariupol during the Special Military Operation.
