From October 30 to November 3 a delegation of RSUH visited the Republic of India. The purpose was to conduct a series of round tables and meetings aimed at strengthening ties between academic and educational institutions and non-profit organizations in Russia and India
The delegation from RSUH included Dr. Kostin, Director of the Center for Consulting of NGOs "Diplomacy of Knowledge", Dr. Gazieva, Deputy Director of the International Center for South Asian Studies of RSUH, Dr. Voskanyan, Director of the Institute "Smart Civilization", Dr. Lunkin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Europe of the RAS, Dr. Tarasova, lecturer at the Faculty of History of RSUH, Dr. Vorontsov, Advisor for Science of the Central House of Aviation and Cosmonautics, Analyst at "Diplomacy of knowledge". The delegation visited New Delhi and Mumbai. Seminars and lectures were held at three universities, the delegation members communicated with representatives of non-profit organizations, and also took part in the celebration of National Unity Day at the Russian House in Mumbai.
On November 1, a meeting was held between Dr. Kulakov and representatives of student organizations at the Nehru University. The representatives of our delegation also took part in a seminar on the topic “The role of media in the third sector and humanitarian cooperation”. The seminar was held at the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry with the assistance of the University of Film, Media and Arts.
On November 2-3, the delegation was in Mumbai.
A round table “Cooperation between India and Russia in the field of university-related and public projects” was held at the University of Mumbai. The event was organized jointly with the Russian House in Mumbai. Dr. Sanjay Deshpande, professor at the University of Mumbai, said that Russia was a reliable friend of India. His colleagues also agreed that the future of Indian-Russian relations looked promising, and that the University of Mumbai is ready to take steps to develop cooperation with the Russian side. In the afternoon, our delegates visited their colleagues in the Russian House, where an evening dedicated to National Unity Day took place.
