The Synodal Translation of the Bible does not meet modern requirements, said in his lecture the Metropolitan who visited RSUH at the invitation of the Rector. After the lecture the Mitropolitan and Rector Pivovar discussed the perspectives of further cooperation, having assessed very high the seminar “Current issues of church archive specialists’ activities” that was held at RSUH. 

 

RSUH extended to the Metropolitan an invitation to deliver a series of lectures at RSUH. The event concluded with a performance of the sound track to Pavel Lungin’s “The Conductor” based on “St. Matthew’s Passion” by Bach. The concert was performed by the RSUH Choir directed by Tarakanov and the Choir “Chorus Inside”, accompanied by the Maimonid Symphony Orchestra.
