RSUH and Russian Railways Published Two Books for the Anniversary of Russian Railway System

The books were commissioned by Russian Railways and written by a group of authors under the supervision of Rector Pivovar.

The two books published were “History of railway transportation in Russia in 19^th-21^st cent” and “The 175^th anniversary of Russian railway system”. The books were commissioned by Russian Railways and written by a group of authors under the supervision of Rector Pivovar.

The fundamental volume “History of railway transportation in Russia in 19^th-21^st cent” dealt with the development of railway system, its contribution to the socio-economic development of Russia, Railway Reform of the end of the 20^th century, and many others. Discussed were the role the railway system played in geopolitics, modernization, World War I, the Revolutions, and New Economic Policy.

The book “The 175^th anniversary of Russian railway system” is an illustrated album with a lot of historical references.

Currently the group of authors is working on “The Atlas of the Railway System” whose publication is set to commemorate the 10^th anniversary of “Russian Railways” Joint Stock Company.
