Over 1,500 applicants and their parents came to the RSUH Open Doors Day on February 9. The university was represented by Rector Alexander Bezborodov, President Efim Pivovar, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Nadezhda Arkhipova, Vice-Rector for Continuing Education Pavel Shkarenkov, Head of the Department of Career Guidance and Organization of Admission Konstantin Mazin, Executive Secretary of Admissions Olga Makarevich, as well as heads of institutes and faculties.
Rector Alexander Bezborodov said in the welcoming speech that Russian universities were currently facing serious challenges. “This is a global trend. There is a reform, modernization of the educational space going on, redistribution of financial flows from the center to the regions. So our task is becoming ever more important, that is, the struggle for the quality of education, recruitment of the very best applicants. ”
