The seminars were held on December 12-13 at the Ca’ Foscari University and State University of Trieste, with the support of the Ministry of Education of the RF.

The interest was noticeable: over 60 teachers of Russian from all over Italy attended the seminars. The Italian counterparts of the Steering Committee were Dr. Iliana Krapova and Dr. Svetlana Nistratova (Ca’ Foscari University), and Dr. Margherita De Michiel (University of Trieste).
Vice-Rector Pavlenko pointed out the importance of the partnership between RSUH and the Italian universities and spoke of the need to preserve and promote Russian abroad.
RSUH and Ca’ Foscari University are currently developing a joint Master’s program on research and cultural studies.
The presentation of Dr. Bragina of RSUH aroused a lot of interest as she talked about the processes of communication and the mistakes that arise in it. She also described the process whereby mistakes become memes and turn viral.
The master class on phraseology explained the process and phenomenon of linguistic irregularities that frequently defied rules and the kind of exercises one needed to practice them.
