The Conference was held at RSUH, on December 5-6, organized by the Laboratory for Mandelshtam Studies of RSUH.
Dr. Orlitsky, leading fellow of the Laboratory, said that the goal was to continue studying Mandelshtam’s legacy for a full commentary to the works of the poet, and for the Mandelshtam seminar held at the Laboratory.
The list of participants included experts from MSU, MPGU, Griboedov Institute of International Law and Economics, the RANS, the University of Bologna, and others.
The presentations focused on the poetics of Mandelshtam’s works, his articles, Orphic motives, Mandelshtam’s influence on the contemporary poets, and translation of Mandelshtam’s poetry into Belarusian and Buryat languages.
The discussion revealed some new approaches to Mandelshtam studies.
The Conference concluded with a decision to hold the next Conference in 2020 and to publish the collected works of the current Conference.
