We have already described the success with which the screening of the documentary “Aleksandrovka” was received. The movie was made by the historians and archive specialists of RSUH with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Foundation “History of Fatherland”.
This time the movie was shown at the University of Freiburg, our partner institution, as part of the Days of Russian Culture, at the invitation of the Marina Tsvetaeva Center and its Head, Elizabeth Shore (не уверен в имени), RSUH Professor Emeritus.
The subject of the documentary was the village of Aleksandrovka, which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The film ended with a Q-and-A session led by Dr. Evtushenko, leading research fellow at the Department of post-Soviet Countries.
German officials plan to continue showing the documentary, at universities and elsewhere.
