The tour, organized by the Student Affairs Office, was taken on November 30, 2019. When on the road, the tour guide described the sights the students were observing when traveling through Moscow, Moscow region and Kaluga region.
Etnomir is a village comprising many ethno-households with objects that are specific to certain types of climate, architecture, culture, etc. The students saw a Russian izba, a Japanese house, a Kyrgyz yurta and were invited to make a wish under an Indian banyan tree.
Then the students were introduced to traditional Russian celebrations, the ones held at Christmas, Shrovetide and Summer solstice. The trip concluded with quests and a visit to the upside-down house.
