The international and interdisciplinary Conference was held October 17. As Dr. Vorontsova, Co-Chair of the Steering Committee, pointed out, the discussed topics had covered the whole range of innovative teaching methods.
The presenters employed various methods to approach the chosen topics: linguistic, psychological, pedagogic, and others.
The main topic of discussion focused on creating favorable conditions for creating a well-rounded linguistic personality while taking into account individual psycho-physiological traits of students, modern tendencies in foreign language teaching, role of the teacher and the tools employed in educational environment.
The participants of the conference included teachers from the Department of Foreign Languages, Department of Foreign Philosophy (RSUH), Department of Linguistic Education (Financial University under the RF), Chernorizets Hrabar Free University (Bulgaria) as well as students majoring in Translation and Interpreting (RSUH). There were 29 presenters in all.
The Conference was organized by the Department of Foreign Langauges of RSUH (Chairs: Dr. Kataeva and Dr. Vorontsova, Secretary: Dr. Yakunina).
