Moscow viewed through the eyes of the Dutch: a lecture delivered as part of the cycle “what Dutch Moscow specialists said about Moscow”
The lecture was delivered in the Lefortovo Museum of Moscow on October 22.
Janette Verrijzer, cultural attaché at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Russia and Ms. Maria Pushkova, Head of the Benelux Center at RSUH, gave welcoming speeches, which were followed by a presentation made by Dr. Djuke Meiman, Russian studies scholar from the Hague University on the topic of Dutch travelers’ memoirs about Moscow.
The lecture serves as the event that paves the way for the exhibition on the travels of Jan Struys, due to open January 30, 2020 in the Museum of Moscow.
