The Conference took place 16 January 2019, organized by the Department of Foreign Languages at the Institute of History and Archives.
The list of participants inculded Moscow Linguistic University, Moscow State University for the Industry of Tourism, and experts from abroad.
The talks centered around the role the language teaching played in forming an all-rounded professional. The participants talked about motivation, individual approach, discourse practices, and language as part of larger social processes.
Separate talks centered on the role of textbook as a tool for both teaching the language and providing pertinent professional information.
Another topic under discussion was the change in the teacher-student dynamic ushered in by the new university paradigm.
Other areas of research under discussion were lexicology, stylistics, grammar, edutainment and textbook production under the CECR framework.
