Conference “Nation-building: current state, issues, perspectives”

The Conference was held 30 November 2018 at RSUH, organized by the Center for Ethno-political and Ethno-cultural studies.

Over 50 leading experts participated in the event. The participants discussed formation of Russian identity and ethno-national policy of the RF.

The welcoming speech was delivered by Dr. Baakh, Head Advisor at the Domestic Policy Directorate of the Presidential Administration.

The plenary speech on the subject of state national policy was delivered by Dr. Zorin, Vice-Director of the Miklukho-Maklay Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology.

Dr. Ledeneva, Section Head at the Federal Agency for Nationalities’ Affairs, spoke on the subject of social adaptation of migrants.

Dr. Drobizheva, Head of the Research Center for the Study of Inter-Ethnic Relations at the RAS, spoke on the subject of Russian civic identity.
