The conference took place 20 December 2017. Teachers of Russian from countries of the Near East participated in the event, which was the final stage of the educational initiative “Russian Language in the Context of the Russian Culture” launched by RSUH and the Autonomous Non-Governmental Organization “Russian Humanitarian Mission». The goal of the project is promotion of Russian in Arabic countries.
Colleagues from Syria and Palestine were very interested in learning new approaches to teaching Russian. These approaches included study guides and textbooks developed by RSUH that teach the language through positive emotion-based images that convey to students a favorable impression of Russia. This set of materials is the first interactive guide of Russian made for students from Arabic countries.
