The presentation ceremony took place November 17 at the Institute of History and Archives. The Center, created with the support of Russian Jewish Congress, is the first university structure of this kind. 

Dr. Bezborodov, First Vice-Rector of RSUH, said in the opening speech that such studies were an important field in modern historiography, both in Russia and abroad. Dr. Basovskaya said that the creation of the Center was also a tribute to the memory of those who had died in persecution.
