The four-day Conference opened May 27, organized by ABBYY. The topics included “Gathering of linguistic data”, “Lexical semantics”, “Semantic analogy”, “Contrastive corpus analysis. Modern Russian language”, “Speech analysis”, “Formal language models”, etc. Thematic round tables were conducted by Dr. Krongauz, Chair of the Department of Russia of RSUH, Dr. Dobrov, Head of the Lab of Information Resource Analysis of MSU and Dr. Kibrik, Head of the Sector of Areal Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
