The Table took place on January 28th, having thus opened the series of events marking the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the War. It was held at the initiative of the Department of History of State Organizations whose members, headed by Rector Pivovar, had taken an active part in researching history of railway transport in Russia. 20 specialists from universities of Russia and Ukraine participated in the proceedings which were publicized by Russian media and RZD-TV.
