All-Russian Conference “New Approaches – 2023”

On December 7-8, 2023, the III All-Russian Conference on the design of physical education in educational institutions of higher education “New Approaches - 2023” was held in Moscow under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia

This year the Conference was held at the Kosygin Russian State University and became a platform for discussing the latest research and successful methods of practical work on the development of physical education programs in higher educational institutions.

The event participants were welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko: “In three years, the Conference has become a significant event, in which outstanding scientists, experts, professional athletes, representatives of government bodies and the educational community develop new approaches and innovative solutions in the field of physical culture and student sports”

He also noted that educational organizations of higher education make a significant contribution to achieving the goal set by Russian President Vladimir Putin to increase to 70% the share of Russians regularly involved in physical education and sports.

The speakers were: Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Daria Kiryanova, Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Ksenia Razuvaeva, Chairman of the Board of the All-Russian Movement of Children and Youth Grigory Gurov, President of the Russian Triathlon Federation Ksenia Shoigu and other experts.

RSUH was represented by Dmitry Bobrov, Vice-Rector for Property Management and Project Activities, who made a presentation “Effective tools for the development of physical education in the higher education system”.

He spoke about the achievements of RSUH in developing infrastructure for students to engage in sports and physical education within the University and shared his personal sports experience. One of the topics of the conference was the development of cybersports. Dmitry Bobrov spoke about the work of his colleagues.

The guests and participants viewed a show match on Counter Strike 2, attended a master class from the vice-president of the Russian Table Tennis Federation and fifteen-time table tennis world champion Maxim Shmyrev, phygital football basketball and matches, exchanged views on the future development of university sports.
