The Institute of Information Sciences and Security Technologies includes:
• Faculty of Information Systems and Security
• Laboratory of Computer Technology and Information Security Tools
• Regional Educational and Scientific Center on Security issues in the Higher School system
The field of professional activity of graduates includes the fields of science, technology and technology related to the creation and operation of modern information systems, as well as ensuring the security of informatization facilities (state, municipal, commercial structures).
The educational programs at the Faculty include not only the study of theoretical knowledge, but also the acquisition of experience in their application within the framework of production practices in leading Russian companies and enterprises of various forms of ownership. In these organizations students are engaged in the development and operation of various information systems, as well as ensuring the information security of information infrastructure facilities.
The Faculty trains students in the following areas of study:
Bachelor course:
Information security (areas of focus: Organization and information security technologies (by industry or in the field of professional activity); Security of automated systems (by industry or in the field of professional activity))
Applied Informatics (areas of focus: Applied Informatics in the humanities; Information and communication technologies of digital transformation; Applied Artificial Intelligence)
Applied Mathematics (focus Mathematics of Information Environments, Mathematics of effective software solutions, Mathematical foundations of Artificial Intelligence)
Magistracy course:
Information security (focus Organization and technology of protection of state secrets)
Applied computer science (focus Data and knowledge management in computer networks)
Applied Mathematics (focus: Mathematical methods and models of information processing and protection in sociotechnical systems)
