Russian-German Center for Study and Research

The Russian-German Center for Study and Research was founded in 2003 on the base of the Cooperation Agreement between Humboldt University and RSUH.

Centers’ Staff (E. Artemova, A. Pyatunina, N. Rostislavleva, V. Streletskiy, A. Filitov) provides the teaching of main disciplines for students of the Faculty of International Relations and Foreign Area Studies with specialization in German Studies. The Center coordinates academic mobility between the RSUH and the Humboldt University, the Europa-Universität Flensburg and the Europa-Universität Viadrina.

It organizes student internship in Russian and German institutions of science and culture.

The research area covers German history, international relations and German language teaching. Results are published in Russia and abroad, including WoS and Scopus journals. 2019-2021 research is concentrating on the joint project with Freie Universität Berlin “Security and Civil Society in Russia and Germany during the First World War” supported by the RFBR and the DFG.

The Center organizes international scientific and public events, students’ competitions.

There is an additional education program “Germany: Language, History, Politics and Culture”.
