The Center was established on February 5, 2014. However, this date is all but formal: the Center’s faculty had been successfully implementing projects in the field of interdisciplinary research for several years before.
The idea of turning to interdisciplinary research as a special phenomenon of modern academic was put forth by the Knorozov Mesoamerican Center of RSUH and was genetically associated with the creative impulse provided by the ideas of the brilliant Russian scientist Yuri Knorozov in the field of his interdisciplinary research on the interaction of history and linguistics.
