We invite you to participate in the XXI International Theoretical and Methodological Conference
“The intelligentsia and intellectuals: a variety of lifestyles”
Moscow, April 2, 2020.
The following topics will be covered:
1. The main worldviews of the modern intelligentsia
2. The life world as a basis for typology the lifestyle of the intelligentsia and intellectuals.
3. Intelligentsia, intellectuals, educated class and population: General and special features in lifestyle.
4. Social activity and social position of the intellictuals.
5. Problems during generational changes in the intelligentsia in Russia.
6. Employment of the young generation of the intellectuals.
7. New ideas in understanding the role of the intellectuals in the modern world.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Conference:
Head of the Department of Theory and History of Sociology of the Russian State Humanitarian University, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Jean T. Toshchenko.
Russian and foreign scientists and novice researchers are invited to participate in the conference.
The organizing committee reserves the right to competitively sel ect participants for the declared articles. In case of rejection of submitted works from participation in the conference, the organizing committee does not report the reasons for the decision.
Preparing articles and speeches, please be guided by the proposed problems for discussion or their reflection in the educational process. It is advisable to build your analysis, judgments and conclusions on the basis of statistical information and sociological research. The editorial board will strictly follow to the stated problem.
General thoughts about the intelligentsia and its activities are the basis for rejecting the text fr om publication.

Articles and applications for participation in the conference are accepted until February 5, 2020, by e-mail

Articles must be made in Microsoft Word text editors.
Up to 10 pages (20 thousand characters, including annotation and keywords, 12 point, Times New Roman font, 1.5 intervals).

The author’s certificate with the necessary data must be attached to the articles: surname, name, patronymic (if any); place of work, position, academic degree; address, phone, email, in-person or absentee participation in the conference (see Appendix 2)
Conference participants arrange travel and accommodation on their own and carry out at their own expense.
