Moscow The monthly student research workshop was held at the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH).

Hindi group students of the Faculty of International Relations and Area Studies discussed about migration, ethnic and social conflicts, problem of political identity in the northeastern states of India.
During many years, the migration processes remain a significant problem in these states. The political identity of the indigenous tribal communities and the electorate composition have radically changed in the region due to the new Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and COVID-19 pandemic.

Speakers:
Prof. Kandarpa Das, Vice Chancellor, Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (Gauhati, Assam, India)talked about the situation in the state Assam during the pandemic 2020-2021 and features of regional methods of adaptation of Indian society in the context of a pandemic.
Prof. Alexander Stolyarov focused on the problems of tribes’ migrating process.
Dr. Indira Gazieva highlighted theupcoming contacts with representatives of different ethnic groups studying at the University of Gauhati (Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University and its branch in Jorhat), Dibrugarh and Tezpur Universities.
Dr. Lyudmila Pechishcheva explained the plan of systematization of data and information for a reference and information publication. The plan will be useful for the effective work at a further stage in the development of the project subject.
RSUH 2nd year BA students – Sofia Kiseleva, Amina Mukhametkhanova, Maria Skorobogatova made presentations about infrastructural development of the state of Assam - modernization of the transport system, social, market and innovation infrastructure.
Arina Novikova, 1st year MA student, told about the demographic situation in the region for the 2015-2021period.
